They could of course dumb down the game so that's it's easy for 12 year olds to play with no real trouble. That would help subs doubt it'll improve Eve though.

Pretty good idea if i don't say so myself.
So where are these new wave of players and why have we not seen them before now? Don't say CQ, because they will be bored with that within the first 5 minutes.

+1, and yes, can't wait for a moment when CCP will start banning those lemmings. Less idiots = better game. Or we can just wait for 5 more days. Gyaaah, I can't wait :3
So we are lemmings according to you and you're sheep, interesting there seems to be a similarity there.
A lot of those idiots as you call them are not idiots at all, they have a different view point. They care about the integrity of the Eve that was and now it looks to be destined to become something else.
If you have a problem with the ingame protest (Which I'm not part of) then take it up with CCP, because it's CCPs attitude to it's player base and their unwillingness to open up any meaningful dialogue that caused those ingame protests in the first place.

I thought they unsubbed by now....
I bet they resubbed to enjoy the protest
CCP enjoying the publicity and in the end will entice more players to the game due to a very active political mayhem.
This is actually CCP's publicity move. You all have been had
Get smart! Being unsubscribed does not mean you don't have game access whilst you have game time left on the account. Still got 3 weeks on mine.

Don't think anyone feels conquered, let down, lied to, betrayed maybe but conquered no.
Hope you enjoy the new Eve when it's gradually dumbed down and made more appealing to the younger players because that's the only way they likely to get an significant increase in the player base. Just think WoW kids in space.

Theres plenty of hardened EVE vets nowadays that started playing when they were tweens (think daniel jackson WW3 teamspeak lulz) I don't want kids on my TS server, but why not have them in the game?
A lot of young kids get fed up with this game because they find it too hard to understand, so to make it easier for them the game will most likely be made easier too.

Well I've seen this stuff happen before. People don't stay angry forever and most will either grumble a bit and play on or come back after a few months.
I don't think CCP is very much impressed, they are waiting on what the community actually does - with their wallet. All the protesters are still playing - thus paying. They take their time to let things cool down while working in Incarna 1.1.
Some might come back, I won't if they carry on in the direct they're going, although I might not anyway since they've shown a total disregard for their customers, quite frankly CCP are a disgrace.
The issues for me is:
1) Items that give an ingame advantage. 2) Ships that don't require players to build them. 3) SP for cash/PLEX 4) Faction Rep for cash/PLEX
Those for are the game breakers of the old Eve.
All the others problems can be fixed in time.
And those 4 are why a lot are unsubscribing, they can't be fixed. Except to not include them in the first place. But CCPs attitude over this whole situation was lost them more players than they might have.

And you fail just like all the other failquitters. Leave, or stfu. Nobody is buying it.
That's ok you're not required to believe me, that's your choice.

Don't get me wrong, I like it when people stand up for what they feel is right. I also voice my opinion even if it's not always what most (EVE forum) people agree with.
But considering: a) hardly any game developer communicates with or listens to their players; b) there's hardly a replacement for EVE even if it had AUR for ships and SP; c) people have their friends and invested a lot of time and money in the game;
I don't see a lot of people really leave. Even if it's less perfect compared to "the old days" it's still not as bad as most other games. It's the lack of competition that will save CCP.
I think a lot will actually leave especially as CCP has acted like cads over this whole affair. Of course if they don't implement those 4 points then it might be a different story. But time will tell.
